Reviews/opinions of Albums I have listened to in under 200 words (due to lack of time, and listening to far too much new music). You can find me on Last.fm as SWFSWF (as of 01/04/2012)

Opinion/Review/Notes Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip - Angles, was one of my favourite albums for quite some time, so I had high hopes for Pips solo work. His lyrics and how they're delivered are flawless as ever, and his content has a bit more substance than most claim-to-be Rappers, but the album as a whole is just not for me, or is it? A second listen to the album whilst writing this nonsense, has led me to a less critical opinion, his lyrics alone automatically qualify for a second listen Pip is very angry, and the beats seem to mirror that, my fiancee walked in the room, and asked "What the hell are you listening to?" The first track on the album is the best for me, the remaining tracks contain a LOT of repetitive chorus's. However, the lyrics to Death of the Journalist should be listened to (Video Below). Doubt you would want to listen to this during a romantic meal, but need some motivation, then that's another story
Rating: 3/5 I appreciate the skills Year: 2004 Genre: Rap Style: Underground Rap, UK Hip-Hop SF Stand out Track: Fuck the Hook Album's Spotify URL: Skinnyman – Council Estate of Mind Pants Rating: 30%(% of album tracks that are simply making up the numbers (crap in other words), excluding Intro's and intermissions) Opinion/Review/Notes Skinnyman can Rap, he is a great example of what is wrong with British Rap, he is still relatively unknown and look at the British 'Rappers' in the charts, travesty, and only one released Album? The end of track 'scenes' become a bit annoying, and the lyrical content becomes a bit repetitive, forget those facts and the album is a good one. I will keep this in my rap/hip-hop folder, not sure how often I will come back to this one though
